She/Her

The roles we take on—and those placed upon us—shape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, make sense of those experiences, and find new ways of moving through life.

Samantha Rivera is a relational psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with adults. She supports people navigating anxiety, depression, shame and guilt, burnout, trauma, relationship and family-of-origin challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Samantha especially enjoys working with women, professionals, people of color, and those carrying significant responsibility or caregiving roles. She also enjoys working with people who may not be in crisis but find themselves wanting more from their lives.

Samantha takes an integrative approach, drawing from relational and psychodynamic therapy, parts work, somatic approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). Her work often involves understanding how past experiences shape the present while finding practical ways to create change now.

Samantha's style is warm, curious, down-to-earth, and compassionately direct. Therapy with her can involve noticing patterns, getting curious about different parts of yourself, paying attention to what is happening in the body, developing concrete tools, or making space for experiences that are difficult to understand or put into words. She values a therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely understood and respected while also being challenged when helpful.
