Jack (He/Him) is a third year M.A. Counseling and Psychological Services student at Saint Mary’s University living in Minneapolis MN. He was born and raised in Minneapolis and has a deep love and commitment to serving the Twin Cities and Queer communities. He orients from a relational, multiculturally inclusive, and trauma-informed lens to validate and connect with adults from all walks of life. He believes every individual has their own unique voice and story to tell and deserves to be listened to non-judgmentally and empathetically, free of shame or stigma. Every individual’s life and experiences have value. Always.
Everyone’s mental health journey looks different and is constantly evolving. And that’s a good thing. Your experiences and authentic selves deserve to be shared and explored with a curious and compassionate therapist. Jack will work collaboratively with you to figure out what you need to live a more fulfilling, authentic, and empowered life. A meaningful therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect is essential to instilling hope and growing through the healing process of therapy. Jack’s work and process come from a person-centered, relational approach that centers on everyone being the expert in their own life. He integrates mindfulness and present moment awareness into his holistic and integrative model of therapy through techniques and theory based in acceptance, commitment, self-compassion, values, positive regard, and the healing power of human connection. He is especially interested in working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and questions of identity, purpose, and self-concept. When not studying and working, Jack enjoys spending time with his partner and large extended family, cooking, practicing meditation and yoga, listening to podcasts, reading, and hosting friends and family.
