Position Summary
The Psychotherapist at CCA provides trauma-informed, equity-centered psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. You will support clients across a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, betrayal, identity exploration, and relational challenges. Care at CCA is collaborative and holistic, integrating mind, body, and spirit while honoring cultural and lived experiences.
Conduct psychosocial assessments, intake interviews, and collaboratively develop treatment plans tailored to client goals.
Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally humble approaches.
Partner with CCA’s interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, to ensure integrated care. Participate in consultations and case discussions.
Maintain accurate and timely notes in our EHR (CHARM); code to DSM-5-TR ICD-10/CPT standards; contribute to quality-improvement (QI) processes.
(For pre-licensed providers only) Participate in one hour of individual and one hour of group supervision per week.
Engage in optional but highly recommended staff meetings and consultations; stay current on emerging therapeutic modalities, integrative practices, and social-justice-informed care.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensure: Active independent licensure in Minnesota (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, LP) OR pre-licensed LPCC/LPC candidates working toward independent licensure.
- Clinical Experience: Experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and/or couples; strong foundation in trauma-informed care.
- Cultural Humility: Commitment to equity, inclusion, and affirming care for LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC, and other marginalized groups.
- Tech & Documentation: Competency with EHRs, telehealth platforms, and DSM-5-TR/ICD-10 coding.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
Nice to Have
- Experience in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) or interest in training.
- Multilingual skills (Spanish, Hmong, Somali, ASL, etc.).
