Medication Management

Medication management includes reviewing a client’s current presentation, health history, and past treatment to collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to a client’s desired outcome. Clients are encouraged to engage and ask questions throughout the visit to ensure that the treatment plan is based on a shared vision for treatment success.

De-Prescribing

Some clients come to CCA on a collection of medium- to long-term medications (polypharmacy) prescribed by other practitioners and express a desire to reevaluate their medications. Deprescribing is a specialized subset of Medication Management that includes the process of tapering or discontinuing one or more drugs with the goal of managing polypharmacy and improving outcomes. CCA clinicians work with clients to plan an evidence-based strategy to reduce the number of medications and monitor the outcome.

Medical Intake for Psychedelic Assisted Treatment with CCA Practitioners

CCA nurse practitioners provide medical intake and prescribing services for clients who have chosen to work with CCA practitioners on a psychedelic assisted treatment plan. Your CCA care team will coordinate visits and intake paperwork.
